Masterclass 4: SuperCharged Classics

I am familiar with over 30 of Matt’s YouTube videos as well as several of his courses—all of which I have saved to my hard drive, where they naturally remain strictly for my own personal use.
Matt explains everything in great detail, yet without the excruciatingly drawn-out pacing found in many videos that accompany purchased magic tricks nowadays—a regrettable trend of our time. Many young people may not grasp this criticism, but the fact remains that reading is a more effective medium than watching videos—though, of course, combining the two is the ideal approach.
Although English is not my native language, I find Matt very easy to follow. The one thing I find missing from the tricks he presents is a citation of sources—ideally, a reference to the original publication.
As a (retired) biology and chemistry teacher myself, I feel qualified to judge that Matt truly possesses a gift for teaching; moreover, he appears to have a sense of humor, which likely makes him a pleasant person to interact with. Though, admittedly, great artists can often be somewhat capricious.
I own several of his Masterclass courses, and I can recommend them all without reservation—though the first one was occasionally a bit difficult to follow due to the small video size.
In any case, for magic enthusiasts who—like me—aren't particularly fond of rigorous practice, I can warmly recommend all of his "self-working" tricks. Naturally, the extent to which these courses—or any others, for that matter—prove interesting to an individual depends entirely on their own existing knowledge and skill level. Regardless, everything is explained in an exemplary manner—a point I wish to explicitly emphasize in closing.

Hi Matt,
Your teaching is the absolute best. Just finishing the course. Outstanding is a word that doesn't come close. Plan to combine "Follow the Leader" with "Four Queens ( 20 card trick )". Thank you so much.

This has been my fourth experience with Matt’s Masterclass series and I’m eagerly awaiting the next one. If you want to learn card magic from a superb teacher you cannot go wrong by purchasing any Masterclass. They are priceless ! Matt’s teaching style makes the most difficult routine doable. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.

I totally enjoyed this course. Tricks are amazing!

Mark is a phenomenal teacher and magician. he took the classics I already performed and enhanced with steroids

Been away from magic for a few years and I love these courses to help me get back into it.

Really happy with the sleights, explanation and enthusiasm throughout the entire course. Matt really puts in the time and effort to make sure his materials are detailed and well explained. Highly recommend!

This is best way to learn card magic, by watching it being performed. Even if you’re just starting out, you’ll learn simple card manipulations which don’t need much skill to start with. You can then build up to more advanced techniques as your skills improve. Matt demonstrates some advanced moves, but also gives simpler versions so he doesn’t leave beginners behind

In my opinion, Matt is the BEST tutor on the internet. He proves it in this Super Charged Classics. From his version of Triumph at the start, all the way through to the end, he is engaging and easy to understand. I recommend him to everyone.

I love how Matt can take seemingly complex tricks and take out unnecessary set-ups and sleights to make even the most amazing tricks easy to learn for beginners like me. While I still require a lot of practice to memorize sequences and work on hiding the simple sleights, I feel like the tricks shown are easily within reach.

Matt is a talented teacher and explains things very clearly to seasoned magicians and beginners. Everyone benefits from these classes!

This has been my fifth purchase of your material and each one gets better and better. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and your expert explanations. Although practice will be required to become proficient, the material is not overly complicated that a beginner can’t master the moves. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Have a great holiday season and I can’t wait for the next class!

IT REALLY WAS MAGIC
Magic in content, magic in presentation, and magic to learn what Matt presented in a clear and detailed way.
I highly recommend his courses.

Matt is an excellent teacher and his MasterClass is a great way to learn some fun magic! He takes time to check in with his "students" and answers questions throughout his lessons. Clearly, Matt is a skilled card handler, but he slows things down to demonstrate some very clever moves that make the trick look seamless. This was my first class with Matt, and I'm so glad I treated myself - I'll be back for more after practicing what I've learnt so far.

Matt does such a phenomenal job teaching magic. He treats you as a colleague and shows you all the inside moves in a way that is both entertaining and effective.

I've been watching Matt's free YouTube videos for a while, but this was the first actual class I've attended and it was wonderful! Definitely worth the money!

Matt showed showed some great tricks. His versions are particularly nice and definitely challenging for me. I look forward to starting with his take on Any Card at Any Number!

This Masterclass was just that, A MASTERCLASS featuring great tricks and the best way to do the sleights that go along with them. I am sure I will be using these sleights and tricks forever.

I jumped in for the first time on these Master Classes expecting something similar to the Youtube videos with a bit of spice, but oh boy I was wrong.

The routines are much more impressive, with tiny details that elevates simple tricks to mind bending effects.

Thank you Matt for being a very dedicated teacher, taking care of each one and making sure that no one was left behind.

See you on the next one!

This masterclass had kids and professionals and Matt explained each trick very clearly. His step by step explanation and demeanor is superb.

This masterclass was fabulous! Loaded with great tricks and many sleight of hand moves that can be used in general for many different tricks. Matt has a wonderful ability to teach and explain card moves well, and his courses are followed by your own personal recorded copy of the lesson which helps to review all the material and practice at your own pace. This is the fourth masterclass I have taken. They have all been great!!!

I really love Matt's delivery and magic. I hate to tell anyone about his classes because they are so good and I don't want anyone else to know how the tricks are done. So, let's keep this to ourselves. Just kidding Matt, great job on the class I would recommend it to anyone interested in magic.

Great presentation and thoroughly enjoyed it. I sometimes didn't want to know the secrets myself because it was so much fun watching the performance side. Will definitely join the next class. If you like Matt's material on YouTube, you'll love what he has saved for you in his masterclass ✨🪄

I have followed Matthew on YouTube for a long time (he is my go-to Magical Mentor) but I have never taken his private training, and I am so thankful I treated myself. The material he presents in the Master Class is not a YouTube retread but a comprehensive, show ready, program that regardless of your skill level - you walk away with a ton of knowledge. His instruction is clear; he takes time to answer questions and makes you feel like you in the room with him - one on one...bottom line - treat yourself to his next Master Class - you won't be disappointed.
